A new Better Hearing Institute study shows increased quality of life with hearing aid use

A new study by the Better Hearing Institute asked hearing aid owners to rate their hearing handicap reduction attributed to hearing aid usage as well as the impact of hearing aids on 14 quality of life factors. The key findings are as follows:

  • There is a strong relationship between quality hearing healthcare and quality of life improvements.
  • The average hearing handicap improvement achieved by patients with recent hearing aid technology is 55%.
  • 75% of patients report at least one of 14 areas of their life was improved by wearing hearing aids.
  • Eight out of ten hearing aid users are satisfied with the changes that have occurred in their lives specifically due to hearing aids.
